New SDC
Birthday Party!
We had so much fun celebrating our resident, Everett Brandenburg’s, 95th birthday yesterday! We had cake, ice cream, and punch provided by our amazing stakeholders! Our nursing team organized the entire event and we could not have been more pleased with their enthusiasm! The happiest of birthdays to you Mr. Brandenburg, we are so happy to have you as a part of our family!
Stakeholder Spotlight
This week, we are putting the spotlight on Kim Hall, a phenomenal cook in our dietary department! She has been with Signature HealthCARE of Georgetown for almost 2 years now! Kim found a love for cooking by working at the deli that her grandparents owned. She has 3 children and 3 grandchildren! Kim loves to cook for her family and spend time with them when she is home. Kim’s favorite thing about working for Signature HealthCARE is having the ability to provide the residents with delicious food. She says that she hopes that she leaves them feeling full, and loved – because putting a little love in the food goes a long way! Thanks for all that you do Kim, we appreciate your hard work and dedication as a stakeholder!
Hero’s Journey
We have been so blessed at SHC of Georgetown to have Hedy Smither with us for short term rehab twice now! She has been such a joy to all of our stakeholders and we have loved having her hang out at the nurses’ station while chatting and making friends. She has become like a family member to all of us! She made us smile when she said that she chose to come back here even though it was further away from her home. We will miss you Ms. Smither, but we are so happy that you are heading home!

A Hero’s Journey!
Mr. Marion Hill joined us in our transitional care unit for short term rehabilitation over the past few weeks! His favorite thing about our facility was that his family could visit anytime that they wanted. He worked hard and had a positive attitude that brought smiles to everyone’s face! We know that Mr. Hill is very excited to get back home with his wife; best wishes Mr. Hill! We will miss you!
A Hero’s Journey – James Lewis
It has been such a joy to have James Lewis here with us at Signature HealthCARE of Georgetown! He really excelled in his therapy in our transitional care unit over the past few weeks. We have enjoyed seeing Mr. Lewis’ progress and his strive to work hard and go home with his wife, Jane. Thanks for visiting SHC of Georgetown, we will miss you Jim!
A Hero’s Journey
Mr. William Bowers has made it onto our page twice now! His contagious smile brings joy to everyone around him! Mr. Bowers came to SHC of Georgetown for short term rehab and his progression and dedication has really paid off! While we are sad to see him go home tomorrow, we are so happy for him! Thanks for choosing SHC of Georgetown, we have loved having you!

RN spotlight – Lawrence Maynard
The spotlight is on Lawrence this week because of his contagiously positive attitude and his continuous hard work here at Signature HealthCARE of Georgetown! Lawrence has worked with Signature HealthCARE for 11 years, and he has been with our facility for 3 years! Lawrence has 3 children, two boys and one girl. He spends his free time going kayaking, camping, and spending time with his family. Thank you for your dedication, Lawrence. You are a rockstar stakeholder!
